Earth Star is a locally owned business in Fort Collins, Colorado.
In 1992 we co-owned the Purple Rose behind the Food Co-op on Walnut Street. We had a tiny store and sold imported clothing and silver jewelry.
In 1993 we opened One World Imports on North College Avenue. We grew our inventory and expanded the store.
In the summer of 1994, two of our good friends died in a car accident and my father passed over within two weeks of each other. Mandy, Brian and my father were the catalysts to our Spiritual growth.
We started reading books about reincarnation and spirituality and meeting people who were teachers and readers. We moved to Walnut street once more and One world evolved into a Metaphysical bookstore, Imported clothing shop and a meeting place for spiritual seekers.
In 1998 we closed One World Imports and I spent the next few years learning Lakota/Dakota songs and helping put together Star Knowledge Conferences all over the country.
I landed back in Fort Collins and started Earth Star in early 2000. The Maka Wicahpi Wicohan is a book also called the 11:11. The way of the Earth Star. We learned these teachings during ceremony and at the conferences. The name came to me at a conference and at the time I did not put the two together. I guess you could say Spirit was having fun with me.
Earth Star has books on spirituality, alternative healing, earth medicine and many other subjects. We teach how to clean and clear your personal space and sell ceremonial herbs for that purpose. We are here in service to help others on this road. We are all learning together to create Heaven on Earth, to mend the hoop, to love each other.
